The Role: Full-Time Barista

  • Location: The Velveteen Rabbit Luncheon Club, Great Ayton, North Yorkshire

  • Contract: Full time, permanent (subject to a probationary period)

  • Salary: Competitive

  • Start date: As soon as possible for the right person

About the role

We’re looking for a barista to be at the heart of our café, preparing and serving high-quality coffee and a range of hot and cold drinks to our customers. Alongside the coffee, you’ll help with the general running of the café, including customer service and other front-of-house duties as required.

Key responsibilities

  • Preparing and serving espresso-based coffees and other beverages to a consistently high standard
  • Providing warm, attentive service to every customer
  • Keeping the coffee station and equipment clean, tidy and well stocked
  • Supporting the wider team with general café duties as needed

About You

  • Experience as a barista or in a busy café or hospitality setting is preferred. Full training will be given to candidates with the right attitude
  • Friendly, reliable and a natural team player
  • Calm and cheerful when the café is at its busiest
  • Available to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Availability for both is preferred
