STEAK STEW, CHEESE DUMPLINGS & A STALL PILED HIGH – SATURDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER
It’s the big one! This Saturday we’re packing up the van and heading to Stokesley Show – the final stop on our 2026 tour – and this year we’re going all in. We’re proud to be sponsors of Scrumptiously Stokesley, the show’s food hall celebrating local makers. That means a stall, and Ian on stage with a live cookery demo.
For over 166 years, the Stokesley Show has been one of North Yorkshire’s best-loved days out, and one of the biggest one-day shows in the country. Around 20,000 visitors and 2,500 animals are expected, plus livestock, show jumping, vintage machinery and more than 130 trade stands. It’s a proper day out.
COOKERY DEMO WITH IAN – 11AM
At 11am Ian will be at [the Food Theatre] for a half-hour demo of steak stew with cheese dumplings. It’s hearty, comforting and just right as the evenings draw in. Come along, see how it’s done, and pick up a recipe card to take home. Can’t make it? We’ll pop the full recipe on our Recipes page after the show.
FIND OUR STALL
Look for us in the Scrumptiously Stokesley food hall, where you’ll find:
Grab a brew, treat yourself to something for the road, and say hello. We love a chat almost as much as we love baking.

With everyone at the show, The Velveteen Rabbit Luncheon Club in Great Ayton will be closed on Saturday 19th September. We’ll be back on Sunday 20th, and we can’t wait to see you then.
See you at the show – we’ll save you a slice.
