MARKETS, FAIRS & FESTIVALS WHERE YOU CAN CATCH US THIS SUMMER!

We adore our little café in Great Ayton (and the comforting hum of the coffee machine), but as the days get longer there’s something extra special about packing up the pies, loading the van, and spending the day out among our fellow foodies. From monthly markets to grand castle fairs and seaside food festivals, summer 2026 is shaping up to be our busiest tour yet.

So, if you fancy a taste of The Velveteen Rabbit Luncheon Club out in the wild this year, here’s where you can track us down.

  • Norton Green Market – 2nd Saturday of the Month

A proper community favourite, and one we keep coming back to. You’ll find us on the 2nd Saturday of every month(9am – 2pm) among 25-odd independent makers doing food, drink and lovely eco-minded bits and bobs. Bring a tote bag and an appetite – and yes, we’ll have the sausage rolls.

  • Great Ayton Spring Fair – Sunday 14th June

A home fixture! There’s nothing quite like setting up shop on our own doorstep, surrounded by familiar faces and the sort of village buzz Great Ayton does so well. Pop down, say hello, and treat yourself to a pastry while you’re at it. (You’re practically a neighbour. It’d be rude not to.)

  • Festival of Thrift – Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th July

We’re thrilled to be heading to the UK’s national festival of sustainable living, down at Kirkleatham in Redcar. Thousands of thrifty souls, live music, hands-on workshops, and us – doing our bit by making sure not a single flake of pastry goes to waste. Best of all, it’s completely free to attend.

  • Brancepeth Castle Summer Craft Fair – Friday 24th to Sunday 26th July

Now this one’s a treat. A three-day fair in a genuine medieval castle near Durham, packed with 70-odd stalls of beautiful handmade crafts – and our humble pie stand right in the thick of it. Crafts, castle, cake… we honestly can’t think of a better way to spend a summer weekend.

  • Saltburn Food Festival – Sunday 26th July

Straight from the castle to the coast! We’ll be bringing a taste of Great Ayton down to the seaside for one of the North East’s best-loved food festivals. Picture 130+ stalls spilling through Saltburn’s pedestrianised streets, sea air, street food, and the irresistible scent of pastry drifting on the breeze. Follow your nose – you’ll find us.

  • Stokesley Show – Saturday 19th September

We round off our tour at one of North Yorkshire’s grandest days out. The legendary Stokesley Show draws some 20,000 visitors for a glorious celebration of all things rural – livestock, show jumping, vintage tractors, and (our favourite bit) the Scrumptiously Stokesley food hall. Come find us, settle in, and make a day of it.

See You on the Road!

You’ll find our stall piled high with all the Velveteen Rabbit favourites – homemade pies, golden pastries, sausage rolls, and a few seasonal surprises. Come and say hello (we love a chat almost as much as we love baking).

Dates and locations can shift with the seasons, so for the very latest – plus new bakes, menus, and the occasional pastry-based confession – follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

See you out and about – we’ll save you a slice.
