Why We’ve Gone Digital

Over the past year, we’ve listened to customer feedback and reviewed how our old paper vouchers were working in practice. While they were lovely to receive, they weren’t always the most convenient option.

By moving to digital vouchers, we can now offer:

  • Instant delivery by email – perfect for last-minute gifts
  • No postage delays or lost vouchers
  • No need to collect in person
  • Send directly to the recipients email address (you’ll get a copy too)
  • A more environmentally friendly option
  • Partial redemptions on monetary vouchers

How Our Digital Gift Vouchers Work

It also helps us reduce admin time behind the scenes, so we can focus on what we do best – serving great food and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Buying a voucher is simple:

  • 1
    Select the voucher amount on the product page
  • 2
    Enter the recipient’s name and email address
  • 3
    Add a personal message (optional)
  • 4
    Choose the quantity if you’re buying more than one
  • 5
    Complete checkout

The voucher is then delivered directly to the recipient’s inbox.

You can choose from set amounts (£5, £10 and £20), and we also offer vouchers which can be redeemed against an Afternoon Tea or Coffee & Cake.

Redeeming a Digital Gift Voucher

Using one of our new digital gift vouchers is just as easy:

  • The recipient simply brings their voucher (printed or on their phone) when visiting us.
  • We scan or apply the unique code at checkout.
  • The voucher value is deducted from the bill.

If there’s any remaining balance on a monetary gift voucher, it can be used on a future visit so long as it’s not expired.

Still Want Something Physical?

We know some people love the feel of a physical gift. If you’d prefer to present something tangible, you can print the voucher at home and present it in a card. The voucher is attached as a print-ready PDF file and sent to the purchaser and a recipient email provided during the checkout.

This way, you still get the convenience of digital delivery with the presentation of a traditional gift.

Got multiple vouchers to send to multiple people? No problem, you can do this too. Just add separate vouchers to your basket before checkout – each voucher added to the basket allows you to put in a unique recipient email address.
